Halo® Subterra®
Halo® GPS (graphite polystyrene) insulation offers a long-term R-value of 4.7 per inch and is available with either a thick polypropylene laminate or an extra-tough cross-woven laminate, known as Subterra® Plus. Subterra Plus is notable for its radon barrier properties, boasting seven times higher radon resistance than 6 mil polyethylene membranes, according to the NRC’s Radon Diffusion test. This continuous GPS insulation creates a crucial thermal break, protects waterproofing, and features an exterior laminate that helps drain water away from the foundation wall. Additionally, it’s designed to be job site tough, capable of withstanding severe foot and equipment traffic without damage, and includes a built-in water-resistive barrier.
